Le Bistrot Pierre, Bath

Lunch today at the very pleasant Le Bistrot Pierre, Bath. Food was good and bon marché while the waitresses spoke perfect English gently seasoned with "Monsieur" and "Fromage" - in accents not a million miles from authentically French.

We had hopes of a post-prandial Jane Austen pilgrimage around the houses she occupied in Bath but we ran out of time.

We'll try and combine it with a trip to the Bath Christmas Market (November 26th - Dec 13th).
