When we first moved into our new house in the winter of last year, we were unable to light the gas fire (the pilot had been switched off). I made frantic phone calls to the previous owners and eventually got instructions. Ever since I have been haunted by the thought that come next winter we will have forgotten again how to light it.
I therefore coerced Clare this afternoon into showing me how to do it (video above). Naturally we messed it up.
