  1. Found Lower Class in used bookstore Truro MA, finished it last night. Fascinating and delightfully written. Also had read Wilfred Grenfells history so it was wonderful Grenfell rec. the book.
    Anyway...just tried to find how George had fared after the book, his career etc and came across this photo of Alex reading copy of LC. An ancestor! I've had no luck finding US children. Only looking because I'm fascinated with histories like Lower Class and find it fun to look up more of their histories.

  2. George Youell was the younger brother of my grandfather, James. In 1890 he started a fruit selling business in Tacoma, Washington. It flourished, see "Snoboy Heritage" or "History of Snoboy" on Google. I believe he had three children and retired to Oregon. Clare Youell.
