Liverpool - Speke Hall

We were in Liverpool yesterday for a Mass to celebrate the centenary of Clare's deceased father's birth. Here's a picture of him and Clare's mother, Mag, on their wedding day. He died of a heart attack a young 53.

After the service, we walked around Clare's childhood haunts in Kensington, inner city Liverpool. The elegant housing is still in good condition and has transformed itself into flats and student lets.

After lunch, we visited the famous and historical Speke Hall, near Liverpool airport and took some more pictures (below) before making our way back.
